Wondering about subsidized/low income housing in Albuquerque NM?

I am considering moving from Rapid City, SD to Albuquerque NM at the end of this summer. I am planning on applying for law school for the fall of 09. Because I will be a student, I will not have a lot of income. Does anyone have any insight into the subsidized housing/low income housing options in Albuquerque? How about a type of housing known here as Tax Credit? It is designed for people who are not super low income, but aren't high income either. Any info would be appreciated.
