Alien sims?

I have the Sims 2, Open for Business, Nightlife, and Pets. I am currently trying to get one of my male sims abducted by aliens by looking through the big telescope, but nothing has happened so far. Is it possible for alien abductions to occur in Pets, or is it only on the Sims 2 base game?
