Help with scion!!!!!!!!!!!!?

haven't done anything with my scion tc.. planning on getting a Weapon R Secret Weapon Intake short ram... do i need to buy and exhaust as well??? dont know anything about cars , so how much is it going to cast me,,, can i install the intake by myself or do i need to take it to a shop???? or is there other mod's that i can buy for my scion to make it go faster that will not exceed $800
