Why don't they make music the way they used to?

I am definitely an 80's babies and grew up listening to good music. Now, all music talk about is , violence and drugs. What is wrong with music today and why are people still making these ruthless songs that degrade women and use such profanity? Music in 90's weren't portrayed as such so how did this get out of hand? Am I the only want who want to bring the 90s music back??
